Bessinger's Sandwich Shop offers customers a "good food fast" style restaurant, serving true Southern dishes made from recipes that have been passed down in the Bessinger's family since the 1930s. Each item is prepared with the highest-quality ingredients and with customers' health and well-being in mind, using the leanest cuts of USDA-approved pork hams, trimming off any hint of fat after smoking and basting the meat with one of several secret sauces that have no fat and are low in carbohydrates.

The hardest decision once you arrive will be what to put on your plate. Should you choose the fall-off-the-bone tender ribs or the mouth-watering barbequed pork, beef and chicken, cooked slowly for hours in a wood-burning pit? Or how about one of our wildly popular hamburgers and hot dogs? But Bessinger's is not just about the "meat" of the meal. The famous sides, like donut-style onion rings given high marks by Southern Living magazine, golden steak fries, Charleston classic hickory hash and an array of freshly-prepared Southern vegetables are worth a trip themselves.
